Russet Apples

We have the Earl of Egremont at Petworth to thank for the Egremont Russet, which is possibly our favourite variety ever, and the only one we provide individually (regular supplies from Oakwood farm will vary from the Discovery to the Katy). Russets are distinctive for their rough, matt skin and slightly dry but sweet and nutty flesh. This isn’t an apple that needs a thick coating of toffee to be enjoyed.
